No Bones Byron Bay is a plant-based eatery with an ethos that ethical food should still be delicious. Offering fresh coastal fare in a laid-back setting in the centre of town, No Bones also has a top-notch drinks list to pair with its delectable vegan bites. The delicious morsels of goodness at No Bones are designed to be shared, which you may not want to do once you see what’s on offer! If you thought vegan eats would be boring, think again – plates include Cooper’s Shoot tomato Caprese with fior di latte, black garlic croutons and olive crumb, crispy fried ‘chicken’ with kung pow sauce, roasted peanuts and charcoal miso aioli, watermelon tartare with kombu caviar, avocado cream, yuzi, ginger and togarashi crackers, and beetroot carpaccio with ricotta, hazelnut, orange, olive, beetroot gel and sherry vinaigrette. Bigger plates include oyster mushroom souvlaki with almond skordalia, peperonata salad, pickled tomato and pita, ‘duk’ bao with hoisin aioli, ginger and hibiscus cabbage pickled cucumber and spring onion, carbonara with organic oyster mushrooms, ‘bacon’ and No Bones yolk and a Byron Bay tempeh parmigiana with napoli sauce, mozzarella, green slaw and french fries. Wash these mouth-watering meals down with a pleasing roster of cocktails including the Floral Fairy (gin, absinthe and kombucha), Cheap Thrills (gin, ginger, citrus, kaffir lime, apple and maraschino) and Kokomo No Tomo (sake, grapefruit, ginger and Szechuan pepper).

No Bones has your festive feasting sorted with a five-course Christmas lunch on December 25 and a New Year’s Eve extravaganza featuring free-flowing booze, beats and eats until the early hours of January 1.

If you’re in the area over the summer period, be sure to take advantage of No Bones’ happy hour from 5–6:00 pm every night and DJs every weekend from 6:00 pm.
