Oro by Sogno Italiano

Oro by Sogno Italiano is the third venue from owners Sushil Maharjan and Prajwol Maharjan, bringing a more refined take on Italian dining to the heart of Broadbeach. While it carries the generous spirit and comfort-led approach that made Sogno Italiano a local favourite, Oro leans into a more elevated offering, with a strong focus on handmade pasta, premium proteins and fresh seafood. The menu skips pizza in favour of fresh daily pasta, including classic carbonara finished tableside in a pecorino wheel, rich ragus and filled pastas, alongside seafood-forward dishes such as scallops baked with chilli butter, grilled Mooloolaba king prawns and indulgent rock lobster spaghetti. A dedicated grill section covers everything from Angus eye fillet to a share-style tomahawk, while traditional secondi keep things grounded. The space, formerly home to Vida Broadbeach, has been gently refreshed with thoughtful updates, retaining its relaxed coastal feel while introducing a more polished dining experience. Drinks skew approachable, with spritzes, margaritas and a broad wine list spanning Italian and local labels. Aperitivo hour runs daily from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
