The House of Bamboo is Coolangatta’s new underground dining and nightlife spot that fuses Pan-Asian street food with retro disco energy. Led by acclaimed chef Jon Hizola (Mr Kojima, Masu Izakaya) alongside hospitality veterans Alexander Dickson and Fraser Pollard, the venue offers bold flavours like crispy karaage chicken, wagyu beef tataki, prawn dumplings and massaman lamb shoulder. Drinks lean tropical with the Filipino-Colada, grilled pineapple margaritas, disco spritzes and sake. With cosy booths, hologram signage, disco balls and live music, Bamboo flows from lunch bites to late-night beats – a playful Coolangatta newcomer that’s as fun as it is flavourful.
