UE Bagels’ new Palm Beach flagship is the biggest store in the brand’s Gold Coast network, occupying the former Well Bread & Pastry site on the Gold Coast Highway, now repainted in UE’s signature navy blue and yellow trim. Owned by Mitchell Barling and Emily Hugo, the open-plan space seats around 75 across an industrial-style interior with foliage-draped pendant beams and bifold windows that fold back to the street, plus a sunny outdoor terrace fronted by striped awning. Bagels are baked fresh on site every morning, with a seasonal menu rotation currently featuring the Brisket Philly Cheesesteak, the Cubano, the Chicken Parmi, an Italian Cold Cuts bagel (with a halloumi swap for the vego crowd), a Garlic Roasted Mushroom, a Vegan Lox and a sweet Pavlova bagel. The original Lox and Breaky bagels anchor the daily rotation. New to the Palm Beach store are smoothies in Choc Banana, Very Berry, Coco Mango and Green Machine, and a fridge of cream-cheese-blended Cheesecake Milkshakes in Oreo, Maple Snap, Peanut Butter Chocolate and Strawberry, alongside Social Espresso coffee.
