Ashton’s The Great Australian Circus is pitching its big-top at Southport’s Broadwater Parklands these school holidays, bringing a dazzling dose of thrills and circus magic to the Gold Coast from June 27 to July 13.

Running since 1850, Ashton’s is Australia’s oldest circus – and it’s still run by the Ashton family, now into its fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth generations. Among the stars is sixth-generation performer Chantel Ashton-Rodriguez, who’s been in the ring since the age of two and now leads a new wave of Ashton artistes.
