Burleigh Brewing’s Frothtoberfest

This October, Burleigh Brewing are transforming their iconic Taphouse into a German beer hall for their biggest year of Frothtoberfest yet.

Burleigh Brewing co-founder, Brennan Fielding, is tapping into his German roots to bring authentic brewing techniques to Frothtoberfest. With an apprenticeship under his belt from Germany’s Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest operating brewery, Brennan brews according to the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) using only barley, hops, yeast and water.

“I learnt from the very best, who themselves had been trained by the most authentic German brewmasters in Munich, and they passed those techniques onto me, which I use to this day at Burleigh Brewing,” Brennan says.

Brisbane’s froth fans can expect what Burleigh Brewing claims to be the most authentic and largest German beer hall on the coast, with a turnout of more than five hundred people expected.

Every ticket purchased grants you a limited-edition Frothtoberfest half-litre glass stein, filled with one of eight exclusive German tap beers. Non-stop German entertainment, a keg tapping ceremony and best dressed competitions will keep the energy high all afternoon and into the night, with traditional food, treats and endless beer on hand to keep you energised.
