Australia’s biggest nostalgia festival is getting ready to swing back into Coolangatta for a huge celebration of the music, motors and lifestyle of a bygone era. Cooly Rocks On will take over the streets and parks of Coolangatta from Wednesday June 3 to Sunday June 7, bringing a full program of free and ticketed events.

Cooly Rocks On’s Show ‘N’ Shine, the country’s biggest classic car showcase, will turn out more than 1000 classic, hot rod and muscle cars from pre-1979 displayed across six zones in the beachside precinct.

Over at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist contest, Elvis impersonators from across the country will battle it out across three performance rounds. As one of three contests in Australia sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, the annual competition allows one lucky winner to represent Cooly Rocks On at Elvis Week in Memphis, where one will be crowned as the best in the world.

The ever-popular Moonlight Swing Dance invites everyone to don their dancing shoes, while on Friday night the entertainment continues with Elvis: Live at Madison Square Garden, featuring last year’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist competition winner Jimmy Holmes.

Some of the country’s best tribute shows join the program, including Tusk – The Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show, The Bee Gees Revival Tribute Show and The Queen Rhapsody Tribute Show.

Visitors can also check out the stellar program of free live music across the outdoor and indoor stages, wander through the nostalgic markets and meet this year’s Cooly Rocks On Pin-up Pageant Finalists.
