Get ready for the Gold Coast’s favourite frothy fest, Crafted Beer Festival, is back for its epic ninth edition on Saturday September 13, and it’s shaping up to be a tin-cracking good time.
Pre-sale demand for 2025 was huge — a clear sign that locals are thirsty. And with over 50 breweries, 400+ brews and a tidal wave of exclusives and limited releases, it’s no wonder Crafted has become a must-do on the coast’s events calendar. From small-batch rarities to cult classics, this is your one-stop sip shop for beer, cider seltzer and so much more — all served with a sea breeze and a side of sunshine.
This year introduces Crafted Smokeshow, a brand-new activation turning up the heat. Expect BBQ showdowns, live fire demos and meat lovers’ heaven with brisket, wings, ribs, burgers and more from Flamin’ Grillas, Cychos Buffalo Wings, Sticky Addictions, Rosticceria and others. There’ll even be eating comps for those brave enough to take on the smoke.
And of course, your favourite eats are back — The Wiener Haus, Smash Burger Society and mountains of hot chips to keep your beer company.
On the beer front, local legends like Balter, Black Hops, Burleigh Brewing, Precinct and Madocke return alongside a fresh crop of brewers making their Crafted debut, including Kaiju! Beer, Bacchus Brewing, Carbon 6, Tap That Brewery, Perentie and Roji Cat. Local’s Lane is back too, giving you the chance to taste your way through the Gold Coast’s booming backyard brew scene.
For the music lovers, this year’s lineup is just as delicious. Indie rock favourites Beddy Rays headline a stage packed with local talent like Le Shiv, FELONY., Thirst Trap, Dropics, Alison, and Beatniks DJs spinning all-day vinyl vibes.
And for those after something a little stronger, Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery returns with its iconic two-storey cocktail bar — now with an even bigger focus on bold, creative concoctions. Carafe Wines is also back for another year, pouring its signature drops alongside some hotly anticipated masterclasses, including a champagne masterclass and rosé-blending experience with winemaker and all-round legend Archie Cox.
With so much packed into one epic day, Crafted proves once again why it’s one of Australia’s most-loved indie beer and music festivals. And this year, it’s not just about what’s in your cup — it’s about diving headfirst into a full-sensory experience of brews, beats, BBQ and beachside bliss.
Tickets are on sale now – hop on it as schooner as possible. Sorry, we couldn’t resist a beer pun.
