Fort Kingsley Holiday Pop-Up Shop

This festive season, skip the generic gifts and shop unique wares at Fort Kingsley’s Holiday Pop-Up Shop – a carefully curated retail experience celebrating the creativity of local artisans and makers.

After two years in his Mermaid Beach space, designer Liam McCallion (the hands and heart behind Fort Kingsley’s bespoke furniture and audio pieces) is opening the doors for an artisan-led retail pop-up running through to Christmas Eve. The launch party kicks off on Saturday November 8 from 2:00 pm, complete with vinyl DJs, eats from D’s Burgers and plenty of good vibes to get your holiday shopping started.

Joining Liam in the space is Rebecca Norman, whose handcrafted wall gems, hair pins and jewellery add a glimmer of artistry to the pop-up’s mix of locally made gifts, books and vintage treasures. Together, the duo have created the perfect spot to browse, sip and find something meaningful – the kind of gifts that tell a story.

You’ll find modern, earthy ceramics from Melbourne artist Judith Hoffman Ceramics, handcrafted organic skincare from Mullumbimbi by Essential Harmony Skincare, hand-rolled incense from Utama Spice, cushions from Weave Home, screen prints from Chris Turnham Illustration as well as visual art from locals Steph Ranty and Loni Mulqueeney.

Whether you’re shopping for the design lover, the homebody or the friend who has everything, Fort Kingsley’s pop-up is a stylish reminder that supporting local is the most thoughtful gift of all.
