Palm Beach restaurant Madame V is set to host its first-ever sake dinner on Thursday March 19, inviting guests to settle in for an evening that blends refined Japanese-inspired cuisine with expertly paired premium sake. Beginning with a 6:00 pm arrival, the event will feature a curated five-course menu by chef and co-owner Daniel Ridgeway, each dish thoughtfully matched with sake selections from Déjà Vu Sake Co.

Guiding guests through the experience will be Yukino Ochiai, director of Déjà Vu Sake Company and Australia’s first female Sake Samurai – one of the highest honours in the Japanese sake industry. Throughout the evening, Yukino will share insights into sake brewing traditions, flavour profiles and the cultural significance behind each pour, adding storytelling and education to the dining experience.

The night begins with canapes including beef tartare with miso hot sauce and natural oysters with ponzu truffle, paired with an arrival cocktail, before moving through courses such as tuna with avocado mousse, sticky pork ribs with black vinegar caramel, and a shared main of miso salmon and seared magret duck breast with truffle. Dessert brings a delicate baked meringue with matcha and white chocolate cream, finished with a yuzu liqueur pairing.

Tickets are $165 per person, with limited seats available for this intimate evening of food, sake and storytelling.
