Midnight in Montparnasse

Midnight in Montparnasse celebrates Bastille Day with a stylish evening of French chic and vintage jazz. Audiences are invited to step into a hidden Montparnasse salon, where Melissa Western, accompanied by her six-piece band and two burlesque dancers, brings velvety jazz, passionate vocals and playful banter to life in an intimate cabaret atmosphere.

The show journeys through the music and spirit of icons such as Édith Piaf and Jacques Prévert, alongside jazz greats including Eartha Kitt and Nina Simone, with a dazzling tribute to Josephine Baker. Featuring French and English favourites, gypsy jazz inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, fiery swing, tender ballads, feathers and a touch of French bubbles, the performance reflects Melissa Western’s two decades of devotion to French repertoire, including performances in France, bringing authenticity, charm and Parisian magic to the stage.
