The Langham, Gold Coast is extending its Mother’s Day celebrations across the weekend, inviting guests to settle into an elegant Afternoon Tea experience at Palm Court and a bespoke Chuan Spa escape made for her.
The signature Afternoon Tea – a tradition that began at The Langham’s flagship London hotel in 1865 – features a three-tiered showcase of sweet and savoury creations alongside a curated selection of specialty teas and coffee. The Mother’s Day experience begins with a complimentary mini mimosa for each mum, before moving into a thoughtfully composed menu of delicate bites.
The savoury line-up leans classic with a twist, from duck-egg quiche Lorraine with gruyere and speck, to crab tartlets layered with avocado, yuzu and salmon roe. A crisp baguette layered with hot-smoked trout rillettes, gin-infused salmon roe, pickled shallot and dill is joined by smoked-chicken and celeriac remoulade vol-au-vents.
On the sweeter side, expect a colourful edit of patisserie offerings, including pistachio and vanilla flowers, calamansi and white-chocolate mousse, a chocolate and hazelnut duo, and a raspberry-topped pink pavlova with mascarpone. Palm Court’s signature baked scones arrive with white ‘velvet’ cream, lemon curd and raspberry preserves to finish.
The experience includes tea or coffee, and the option to elevate the occasion with a glass of Laurent-Perrier or a selection of sparkling wines. Pre-bookings are essential.
For those looking to extend the experience beyond the table, Chuan Spa offers a ‘Serenity for Her’ package, a restorative sequence of treatments including a hot-stone back massage, express facial, eye treatment and foot massage, finished with a glass of bubbles.
Available across Mother’s Day weekend, the experience is designed as a relaxed yet refined way to celebrate, with advance bookings recommended.
