Oyster Saloon Vol. 2

Inspired by the oyster saloons of yesteryear, Burleigh’s favourite watering hole Rosella’s Bar is teaming up with the local legends from Cantina to bring a nostalgic treat back to your weekend sipping and snacking.

From the 1880s to the early 1900s, Australia was dotted with Greek-run seafood parlours, coined oyster saloons, where rock oysters and beer were the star. To honour this little slice of Australian history, Rosella’s is taking Burleigh back to the golden era and bringing back the humble oyster saloons – this time with a serious upgrade.

With guest chef takeover by Mermaid’s much-loved Cantina and Never Never Distilling pouring the drinks, Rosella’s will host their very own oyster saloon this Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 2:00 pm and lasting into the night. Pop in to Burleigh’s Rosella’s Bar this weekend for a night of beautiful bivalves, world-class gin and a celebration of the immigrants who helped to shape the way Australia eats.
