Scenic Rim Eat Local Month

Scenic Rim Eat Local Month returns this June for its 15th year with its biggest program yet – 153 paddock-to-plate experiences (including 51 new events) celebrating the farmers, makers, chefs and flavour masters of one of Queensland’s richest food regions.

Just an hour from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the month-long festival transforms the Scenic Rim into a feast of long lunches, farm dinners, tastings, workshops and family-friendly adventures, with opening weekend serving up plenty of reasons to hit the road.

Highlights include the Ride, Gather and Graze Picnic Trail – a self-guided e-bike journey between Tamborine Mountain providores ending in a local produce picnic – hands-on spirit-making workshops at Tamborine Mountain Distillery, botanical cocktail classes at Loborn Tasting Bar, creekside picnics and alpaca encounters at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, plus the return of Spirit of the Mountain at Cauldron Distillery featuring live music from Tim Freedman and The Moonlit Deck.

Visitors can also craft citrus liqueurs, graze at Beechmont Estate’s Feast in the Fields and decorate floral cupcakes with cocktails in hand, before exploring the wider month-long lineup of on-farm adventures, mountaintop feasts and producer-led experiences.
