The Grunge Show’s MTV Unplugged

After a sell out season in 2025, The Grunge Show’s MTV Unplugged experience will return for a string of shows, stopping in at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse along the way.

Celebrating the cultural touchstone’s thirtieth anniversary, The Grunge Show’s MTV Unplugged series channels the powerful, memorable and haunting performances that intersected the early 90s grunge hype. Curating an incredible sit-down tribute to seminal unplugged broadcasts, the series will bring acoustic guitars, mood lighting, and most importantly the legendary tunes. Two sprawling one-hour sets will include fan favourites like ‘Plush’, ‘Black’, ‘Fell On Black Days’, ‘Lightning Crashes’ and ‘Jeremy’, followed by cuts by Nirvana and Alice In Chains to celebrate the nostalgic magic of this unforgettable era with Australia’s quintessential grunge show.

This audio visual experience transports audiences through storytelling, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and TV clips from the era, leaving an appreciation for the rich history and immortalised songs.
