Enjoy a whimsical high-tea experience at the new Tarte Tea Garden in Currumbin

Currumbin’s crowd-favourite pastry spot and brunch haven Tarte Beach House has launched a dreamy new high-tea concept set to enchant locals and visitors alike. The newly opened Tarte Tea Garden is a sun-drenched garden oasis blooming with roses, gardenias, lavender and a vibrant wall of greenery. Here, diners can indulge in an elevated high-tea experience featuring still-warm scones, bite-sized versions of Tarte’s signature pastries, rich French-style hot chocolate and colourful matcha clouds, all worthy of a spot on your camera roll.

The elegant new high-tea experience is the vision of Tarte Beach House owner Chloe Watts, who has completely transformed part of the creekside venue into the whimsical and floral-filled Tarte Tea Garden. Open from Wednesday through to Sunday (9:00 am to 2:00 pm), the lush garden offers a laid-back high-tea service, serving a selection of mini pastries, baked sweets and daily savouries, alongside sips like unique house-blended teas, matcha creations and iced ‘cloud’ drinks topped with vanilla foam.

All of Tarte’s crowd-favourites are served in miniature form, from fresh-fruit tarts and choc-chip cookies to buttery croissants, as well as fluffy scones that arrive straight from the oven with a side of housemade jam and cream. The Tarte Tea Garden drinks menu is equally indulgent – there’s a pot of rich and velvety French hot chocolate served with fresh whipped cream or torched marshmallow, alongside Tarte’s own tea blends in inventive flavours like Brownie Cookie and Ginger Limoncello. Matcha lovers can sip ceremonial-grade creations including rhubarb matcha and the blueberry-lavender matcha cloud, while coffee fiends can dunk their savoiardi biscuit into a creamy tiramisu coffee.

Walk-ins are also welcome to Tarte Tea Garden for a la carte sweets – so you can sit amongst the gardenias and enjoy a coffee and a mini pastry (or three) without having to settle in for the full experience. The venue is also available for private high-tea functions, and can be booked for daytime or evening events.

Tarte Tea Garden is now open – to book a table, head to the Tarte website.
