There’s a new kind of departure lounge excitement at Gold Coast Airport – and it’s got nothing to do with boarding calls and duty-free shopping. Travellers can arrive early and kick off their trip with a foodie adventure thanks to the Eleven Dollar Feastival, a limited-time dining celebration serving up $11 meal deals across 11 venues until Sunday November 30.

Food is the new reason to arrive early at Gold Coast Airport. Whether you’re a local about to jet off or a visitor enjoying the best the Gold Coast has to offer, the Eleven Dollar Feastival brings global flavours to the gate lounge, with eats that skip from sushi to souvlaki and pizza to pastries – all for just $11 a pop. Think of it as your ticket to a flavour-filled journey before you even leave the tarmac.

At Artisan Kitchen & Bakery, for just $11 you can grab a cheesy, oven-fresh pizza slice and crisp side salad. Merlo is keeping things classic with a golden beef pie and icy 600-ml Pepsi, while Two Tigers serves up two sushi rolls and a cup of steaming miso soup – all for just $11. Over at Beach Shack, flyers can get a taste of the Mediterranean with a grilled souvlaki wrap packed with fresh, zesty flavour.

If you’re craving something light, Fresh Juice Bar has your back with a crunchy $11 Caesar salad made for pre-flight grazing. The Sand Bar invites passengers to linger a little longer with its $11 mezze plate, served with creamy dips and warm pita – simple, share-style and perfect with a cocktail before boarding. Social Espresso Kombi serves a satisfying trio – a sandwich, bottled water and a sweet caramel slice – all for just $11, while Paradox Coffee Roasters & Bar adds a touch of indulgence with a buttery twice-baked almond croissant and bottled water for the same great price.

Rounding things out, WHSmith covers the classics with a sandwich or wrap, chips and a 600-ml drink for (you guessed it) $11, and The Book Cellar fuels the morning crowd with a bacon-and-egg wrap and barista-made coffee – the perfect start before take-off.
