Buns, beach and Betty’s Burgers – the cult favourite is now flipping patties in Burleigh Heads

Summer’s looking extra tasty at Burleigh Heads, with Betty’s Burgers officially opening the doors to its newest beachside outpost. Perfectly timed for sun-drenched afternoons and balmy evenings, the beloved burger brand has transformed the former Burleigh Tropicana Cafe into a breezy coastal retreat tailor-made for post-beach feasts and sunset sessions.

Born in Noosa back in 2014, Betty’s Burgers quickly became a cult favourite thanks to its drool-worthy burgers, thick shakes and nostalgic seaside aesthetic. Now with more than 70 restaurants across Australia, the Betty’s crew still sticks to what they do best – nailing the classics. Juicy 100-percent Aussie beef, crispy RSPCA-approved chicken and indulgent sides made fresh to order.

The new Burleigh space is every bit as charming as its northern predecessors – pastel hues, scalloped aqua panels and timber accents set the scene, while hanging greenery and a glowing sunset mural bring those quintessential Burleigh beach vibes inside. It’s relaxed yet refined, just like the Betty’s experience itself.

On the menu, the Betty’s Classic remains a crowd-pleaser – beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato and Betty’s secret sauce – while the Crispy Chicken Supreme ups the ante with bacon and gooey melted cheese. Plant-based eaters can tuck into the Betty’s Classic Plant and the decadent Shroom Burger, and seafood lovers can dive into the Noosa Classic Surf, featuring lightly battered prawns and Betty’s signature sauce.

If you’re chasing something lighter, there are grilled chicken or salmon bowls, or a crispy puff-rice veggie bowl that still delivers that satisfying crunch. And of course, the sides and shakes are pure nostalgia – golden fries, beer-battered onion rings and thick shakes in flavours like chocolate peanut butter, caramel and strawberry that demand a sip between bites.

To celebrate the grand opening, Betty’s is serving up a series of exclusive Wednesday specials through November and into early December. Kicking off Wednesday November 5, you can score two-for-one Betty’s Classic Burgers, followed by a Family Feast on November 12 featuring two Betty’s Classics and two Bites Burgers for just $30. On November 19, it’s $10 Betty’s Classics, November 26 brings a Smashin’ Good Meal for $15 (with a Betty’s Classic, snack fries and a soft drink), and on December 3, the celebrations wrap up with two-for-one Deluxe Burgers. Betty’s Burgers Burleigh Heads, best served seaside, with salt in your hair and a shake in hand.
