As the Socceroos continue their FIFA World Cup campaign with a do-or-die clash against Egypt, football fans across Queensland will be setting their alarms rather than booking dinner. Thanks to the Queensland Government’s extended-trading pathway for eligible venues broadcasting the match, a number of pubs, bars and clubs across Brisbane and the Gold Coast will be opening before dawn to bring the drama, the atmosphere and a little taste of the world’s biggest sporting stage closer to home.
