If you know, you know. Perched above North Burleigh Surf Club with uninterrupted views stretching from Burleigh Headland to Miami, Sandfire feels like one of those places you’re almost tempted to keep to yourself. Somehow, despite one of the best beachfront outlooks on the Gold Coast, it still flies under the radar. Now there’s another reason to head upstairs, with the venue launching a new weekend brunch experience built around shared plates, spritzes and slow mornings by the sea.
There are few better ways to spend a Gold Coast weekend than with good food, a spritz in hand and uninterrupted ocean views. Sandfire’s new Spritz & Share experience leans into exactly that, inviting groups to settle in for a leisurely brunch overlooking North Burleigh beach. Available every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Spritz & Share combines a shared menu of light bites with sparkling wine, mimosas and a choice of signature spritz carafes, encouraging guests to settle in rather than rush through breakfast.
Expect fresh natural oysters to arrive alongside prawn brioche rolls with lemon, mayonnaise and chives, before choosing between smoked-salmon tostadas topped with dill cream cheese and salmon pearls or a wild mushroom version layered with garlic, sage and truffle mayo. Truffle fries land in the middle of the table to share, while dessert comes in the form of coffee-matcha panna cotta with berry compote, toasted pistachios and an Aperol-Campari sorbet.
The drinks are where Spritz & Share really comes into its own. Expect a steady stream of Tamburlaine sparkling, rosé and mimosas, alongside generous carafes of Aperol, Hugo, Limoncello and Lavender Spritzes designed to keep glasses topped up as the conversation rolls on. It’s a format that feels perfectly suited to North Burleigh, where brunch has a habit of stretching well into the afternoon.
The new brunch joins a growing line-up of weekend experiences at Sandfire, including Friday Social, where complimentary chef’s canapes are served from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm each week, and live music every Sunday afternoon. Venue manager Siaan Petersen says the aim is to give locals more reasons to make the most of the venue’s unique oceanfront setting.
“The Gold Coast is all about enjoying life outdoors and Spritz & Share captures that perfectly,” Siaan says. “It’s relaxed, it’s social and it’s designed for people to gather over great food and drinks while taking in the beautiful oceanfront setting at North Burleigh.”
Whether you’re gathering friends for a birthday, planning special celebration or simply looking for an excuse to spend a few leisurely hours by the ocean, Sandfire’s latest offering is another reminder that some of the Gold Coast’s best dining experiences are still hiding in plain sight.
