Paradise Centre is bringing a colourful program of family-friendly Easter fun to Surfers Paradise. From March 28 to April 7, the beachfront precinct is inviting visitors to celebrate the season with giveaways (did someone say free hot cross buns?), craft workshops and a basketful of egg-citing surprises.
Kicking off the Easter fun on Saturday March 28 – shoppers can score a sweet seasonal treat when the Easter Bunny makes a special delivery of free hot cross buns! From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the first 100 shoppers who spend $10 at any specialty store, or $20 at Woolworths, can hop over to the Paradise Hoppy Hollow activation space to scan a QR code and claim a freshly baked pack of Woolworths hot cross buns. Be quick – once the buns are gone, they’re gone!
While you’re there, keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny himself, who will be making appearances between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm with sweet surprises for lucky visitors.
The fun continues with the return of the precinct’s crowd-favourite ‘Crack an Egg’ activation. From April 4–6, shoppers who spend $50 in a single transaction can head to the Paradise Hoppy Hollow between 12:00–4:00 pm daily for the chance to crack open a colourful egg and reveal a $50 gift voucher prize. Each egg holds a surprise voucher for one of the centre’s retailers or eateries, meaning every crack comes with a guaranteed win.

Families visiting during the school holidays can also pop into Paradise Hoppy Hollow for free bunny-themed craft workshops running from April 2–7. The whimsical pop-up garden will be buzzing with little makers, with each 20-minute session inviting kids to create their own hopping bunny using colourful cups and a clever rubber-band mechanism. Friendly Easter helpers will guide the process, showing participants how to bring their bouncy creations to life.
Once the crafting is done, visitors can turn their Easter outing into a leisurely lunch or early evening meal by the beach in the Paradise Centre dining precinct. There’s plenty of choice – from tacos at El Camino Cantina to tasty Italian at Enzo’s Cucina, burgers and shakes at Wahlburgers and more.
