Construction’s digital revolution is paying dividends as ProcurePro hits £25 billion in projects

An innovative procurement software firm founded by a Queensland 40 Under 40 alum has achieved a monumental milestone, reaching more than £25-billion in construction project value globally.

When 2023 Queensland 40 Under 40 Awards alum Alastair Blenkin founded ProcurePro, he did so with the aim of making things easier for head contractors working to get construction projects off the ground.

By consolidating more than 15 fragmented processes into one platform, including streamlining tendering processes, comparing subcontractors and identifying supply chain risks, Alastair’s procurement software isn’t built to just maximise profitability – it has sought to completely overhaul how procurement gets done.

To say ProcurePro has achieved its goal would be an understatement. Since its launch, Alastair’s software has helped save over 700,000 hours (the rough equivalent of 340 work years) of admin time for its network of customers. As contractors are ditching spreadsheets and embracing standardised digital workflows, ProcurePro is leading the charge, with the software on track to be used by 50 percent of all Australian builders by the end of 2025.

As word spreads of ProcurePro’s benefits – including more control, faster decision making and consistency across every contract – the software is starting to gain traction across the globe. Late last year, ProcurePro expanded into the UK and Ireland, with major players in the UK construction industry like Mount Anvil and Kori Construction wasting little time in backing ProcurePro’s entry into the market.

“Every construction company should be using ProcurePro. It’s a no-brainer,” says Mount Anvil commercial director Mark Hopkins, who adds that his team is using the platform to speed up procurement and make smarter commercial decisions.

Expanding further into the international market has proven to be a smart commercial decision for the ProcurePro team, with the company securing more than £25 billion in construction project value managed globally. The software’s arrival comes at a pivotal time, when builders face mounting pressure to deliver projects quicker, smarter and with more transparency.

With ProcurePro’s rollout across the UK and picking up speed, expect the company to scale accordingly. “[Our goal is] to transform procurement from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage,” says Alastair Blenkin.

Based on ProcurePro’s success to date, expect more good news to come.
