After the barnstorming success of its 2026 program, QPAC’s open-air concert series On The Banks has confirmed its return for 2027. The first artist announced to perform is legendary DJ Fatboy Slim, who will be bringing his upbeat energy and hit-filled setlist to South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt in March.
On paper, it’s going to be hard for On The Banks to top this year’s line-up. QPAC’s three-week-long, outdoor live-concert series brought some veritable music icons to Brisbane, including De La Soul, Grace Jones, The Streets, Bernard Fanning and more.
QPAC has confirmed the return of On The Banks in 2027, as well as the first big name scheduled to perform. Electronic pioneer Fatboy Slim will touch down in Brisbane on Wednesday March 10, turning the Cultural Forecourt into a riverside dancefloor as part of his upcoming Australian tour.
With a back catalogue encompassing four studio albums and numerous chart-topping hits like “The Rockafeller Skank”, “Praise You,” “Right Here, Right Now,” and “Weapon of Choice”, few artists know how to get a crowd moving like Fatboy Slim.
Head to the On The Banks website to sign up for the waitlist to be first to hear about ticket sales and more artist announcements in the coming months.
