Brisbane knows there’s no better pairing than live music and breathtaking views, and On the Banks music festival is heading to South Bank next year to prove exactly that. From March 1–22, QPAC and South Bank Corporation will team up to bring a three-week-long, outdoor live-concert series to the Cultural Forecourt in the heart of Brisbane. Here’s who will be coming to town to perform …
On the Banks will transform South Bank’s beloved green space into a vibrant, open-air, live-music venue – complete with food, drinks and views of the iconic city skyline and Brisbane River.
Headlining the festival is a diverse mix of Australian and International artists, spanning genres including pop, alternative, garage, RnB, and hip-hop. Leading the charge on March 1 is Droppin’ Science with New York’s electric hip-hop group, De La Soul – joined by American rapper Oddissee & Good Company and ARIA-nominated Indigenous singer-songwriter Miss Kaninna.
The rest of March will boast a schedule of musical performances and experiences from top-flight acts, including England’s alt-electronic genius The Streets, the feel-good phenomenon DISCO CLUB, cherished Brisbane-born singer and former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning, fairy queen Peach PRC and NZ powerhouse Marlon Williams.
Plus, Blockbuster will make its Queensland debut to host a one-day celebration of Punjabi music, food and culture, featuring artists hailing from Northern India and Pakistan to bring a fusion of traditional Qawwali folk, Punjabi beats and Pakistani pop music.
More Australian and International acts heading to On the Banks will be announced in early 2026. Tickets will go on sale here on Friday November 14.
