In exciting news for Australia’s music festival scene, fan-favourite Groovin The Moo has just announced its return with a special one-off show in Lismore to celebrate its 21st anniversary. This year, the festival will be held at Oakes Oval in Lismore, New South Wales on Saturday May 9 with an all-star lineup of Australian favourites to commemorate the festival’s much-awaited return.

The 2026 lineup features charismatic rapper Baker Boy, fierce hip hop multi-talent Denzel Curry, groovy hypnotiser Dope Lemon, and one of the most recognisable names in EDM right now, Ninajirachi. They are joined by breakthrough artist Maple’s Pet Dinosaur, Northern Rivers’ best Matt Corby, Gerringong rockers The Terrys, Sunny Coast heroes The Chats, globally renowned Tones and I, Lismore’s The Colliflowers and the young and talened Angel White.

The all-ages festival will also feature the popular queer line dancing phenomenon Cowboy Country presented by Kath Ebbs and two-night camping passes for Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May.

Groovin The Moo has also announced its partnership with local music retailer Planet Music to run the Planet Music Homegrown Hero competition, a chance for local artists to submit their music for a chance to perform on the day.

The festival attests that this year’s single-stage, single-day event marks a deliberate and considered return and the first step in rebuilding Groovin The Moo while staying true to its regional roots.

Groovin The Moo celebrated its first festival event back in 2005 with a lineup sporting Killing Heidi and The Screaming Jets. The festival was held every year since until Covid, where it took a break for 2020 and 2021. It returned for the next two years, but the 2024 and 2025 events were cancelled due to low ticket sales.

General admission prices begin at $125 for first release, which go on sale on Tuesday March 3 – sign up for presale here.
