NIIWA

Set along James Street in Fortitude Valley, NIIWA is a Japanese-inspired garden bar from the team behind Hideki, reimagining contemporary Japanese dining in an elegant, greenery-filled space shaped by the ikebana philosophy of balance and beauty. Led by head chef Winson Law, NIIWA serves a seasonal, share-style menu spanning lunch, dinner and late-night bites – think shio miso edamame dip, spicy tuna with nashi pear, reworked okonomiyaki and premium omakase – alongside a creative cocktail list of light aperitifs and aromatic evening drinks. Since opening, the venue has built a strong following, further bolstered by a weekend breakfast service (Saturday and Sunday from 8:00–10:30 am) featuring Japanese-style sandos, matcha pancakes, omurice and wagyu breakfast burgers.
