Wellington Road Bistro

After years working in Brisbane’s hospitality scene, Armando Moreno and Charlie Scott have launched Wellington Road Bistro in East Brisbane – their first venue built from scratch and a true expression of their culinary vision. Tucked into the former Zio Mario’s site, the bistro blends European charm with Aussie warmth, offering approachable Euro-tinged fare made with fine-dining techniques but without pretension – think barramundi fritters, cheese souffle, pan-seared cauliflower with carrot and sauerkraut remoulade, and shallow-fried chicken schnitzel with wild rocket and shaved parmesan. With a focus on familiar flavours, heartfelt service, and a comfortable, character-filled space, Armando and Charlie aim to create a neighbourhood spot where guests feel known, welcome and well fed.
