Prepare your palates, Brisbane – one of the world’s most beloved chefs, authors and culinary storytellers, Yotam Ottolenghi, is heading our way. The trailblazing chef has announced a series of live shows across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore in February 2026, with a Brisbane date locked in for Tuesday February 17 at QPAC Concert Hall.
Renowned for transforming the way we cook and eat with his vibrant Eastern Mediterranean style, Yotam Ottolenghi has become a household name thanks to his bestselling cookbooks Plenty, Jerusalem and Simple as well as his celebrated restaurants and television appearances. His approach has brought once-unfamiliar ingredients like pomegranate, za’atar, tahini, sumac and rosewater into everyday kitchens, shaping the way Australians think about flavour, colour and creativity on the plate.
An Evening with Yotam Ottolenghi promises to be more than a demonstration, it’s an immersive experience. Audiences will see live cooking unfold on stage as Yotam shares the stories, philosophies and inspirations behind his signature dishes. Expect tales that span continents, cultures and kitchens, woven together with the warmth and charisma that have made him a modern-day icon of the food world. Yotam will be joined by award-winning author and broadcaster Alice Zaslavsky as he offers unique insights into how flavour is amplified and why it works, from basic pairings that are fundamental to taste, to next-level cooking methods that elevate ingredients to great heights.
Born in Jerusalem and classically trained at Le Cordon Bleu in London, Yotam began as a pastry chef before opening his first deli in Notting Hill in 2002. From there, he introduced bold Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours to London’s food scene, sparking global interest. His career since has been nothing short of remarkable – from acclaimed restaurants like NOPI and ROVI, to an international audience of home cooks who’ve embraced his vegetable-forward, flavour-packed recipes.
For Brisbane food lovers, this is a rare opportunity to step into the world of Yotam Ottolenghi and be inspired by a chef who has redefined the modern table.
