In early 2022, Melbourne cafe Good Measure created the Mont Blanc, kickstarting a viral coffee trend that the country has been rightly obsessed with ever since. The original Mont Blanc is a syrupy cold brew, topped with creamy cold foam and dusted with nutmeg and a little orange zest for an extra kick. Designed to be sipped slowly and without stirring for the ideal balance of energising cold brew and sweet frothiness, this perfect summer beverage is still gaining momentum four years on. Here’s where to snag a cup of this powerful brew across Brisbane.

Ollie’s Espresso Bar, Nundah
It only took one sip of Good Measure’s Mont Blanc for the team behind Ollie’s to get hooked. For the Nundah cafe’s take, Ollie’s uses Single O’s Filter Show blend as a base, with house-made orange syrup blended directly into the coffee for a zesty kick. Then it’s topped with in-house cold cream foam and garnished with fresh orange zest and a dusting of nutmeg. For a sweet twist on the classic, Ollie’s also offers the Choccy Mont Blanc, which uses the same Single O blend but infused with house-made chocolate sauce and finished with a chocolate cold cream foam. OG Mont Blanc – $10.00 | Choccy Mont Blanc – $ 11.00.

It took several rounds of tasting trials before settling on the perfect balance, but in 2022 Cubby House introduced its own version of the famous Mont Blanc to its summer menu. Using Pinnacle cold brew roasted in-house, this Mont Blanc features house-made kuromitsu black-sugar syrup, milk foam, and a sprinkle of fresh chai dust and grated orange zest. Mont Blanc – $8.50.
