A rapidly evolving frontier of the inner city is set to be the site of an exciting new food precinct, with Cbus Property on the verge of unveiling a dining-driven social hub at its new landmark commercial office tower. Encompassing grab-and-go coffee spots, a micro market and a sleek Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, 205 North Quay might soon beckon gourmands from all corners of the CBD. Here’s what we know …
Since opening to the public in 2025, Cbus Property’s 205 North Quay has drawn acclaim for its city-shaping properties. The commercial office tower – designed by Hassell, REX and Richards & Spence – embraces Queensland’s subtropical charm, with its striking design and world-class amenities positioning the building as the core of a new civic destination for the inner city.
But an office tower can’t evolve into a cultural and lifestyle nexus without the right tenants in the mix. That’s why Cbus Property and food and service solutions organisation Eurest have announced a brand-new retail precinct taking shape at 205 North Quay, with five distinct food concepts expected to open in the coming weeks.
The first of these signature hospitality experiences has already opened. Herschel, a bright and airy lobby cafe is up and running, serving coffees, iced coconut matcha clouds, toasties, bagels, pastries and cookies to tower occupants and those passing by.
Joining Herschel will be Mavis – a cafe-style concept specialising in caffeine and baked goods – and Böhl, a nosh spot focusing on fresh, nutrient-rich meals that support the wellbeing and busy lifestyles of inner-city residents. The hub will also be home to a micro market stocking premium take-home options and specialty items, allowing time-poor commuters to nab essentials as they arrive and depart.

The jewel of 205 North Quay’s culinary crown will be Pozzo’s – a Mediterranean-inspired eatery (named in honour of Cbus Property’s long-serving CEO, Adrian Pozzo) that will boast an infectious uptempo energy and pizza-driven menu. A central production kitchen will support catering and events across the building, including its 210-seat civic auditorium.
In a statement, current Cbus Property CEO Chris Kakoufas said that the retail offering will position 205 North Quay as “a destination that extends well beyond the workplace”.
“From the outset, our vision for 205 North Quay was to create more than an office building – it was conceived as a place where people feel connected to their workplace, to each other and to the city around them,” said Mr Kakoufas.
The remainder of 205 North Quay’s food concepts are expected to open in July 2026 – stay tuned for more.
