Dance-offs, freebies and doughnut decorating – the stage is set for school-holiday fun at Paradise Centre
These school holidays, Paradise Centre in Surfers Paradise is turning up the fun dial, delivering a stacked line-up of activities, giveaways and family-friendly entertainment from July 7–12. With more than $15,000 in prizes up for grabs, plus interactive workshops, cheeky dance-offs and eats galore, it’s the ultimate excuse to bask in the winter sunshine while enjoying some hands-on holiday fun.
Centre stage is the place to be, where the larger-than-life Rockstar Monster takes over a giant 3-metre wide interactive LED screen. Kids can strike a pose, bust a move and watch as the animated character mirrors their every groove. Before stepping up to the screen, little performers can visit the free face painting station on Level 1 of Paradise Centre to complete their showtime look. With dance-offs and prize giveaways from 1:00–4:00 pm daily, there’s plenty of incentive to bring your A-game.
Creative kids can also tap into their artistic side at Mr Brix’s Learn to Paint: Miniature Workshops where fantasy figurines come to life in a guided painting session – with every masterpiece going home with its maker. Hungry little hands can get busy in the kitchen with a line-up of kid-friendly food experiences including a pizza masterclass at Enzo’s Cucina, a burger masterclass at Grill’d and DIY doughnut decorating at Krispy Kreme. To sweeten the deal even further, Paradise Centre venues La Playa, TGI Fridays, Kitty O’Shea’s and The Sporting Globe are offering ‘kids eat free’ specials on select days – making dining out during the school holidays a breeze.
Free pop-up dance performances will light up the beachfront outside Gelato Messina and Enzo’s Cucina on Friday July 11 and Saturday July 12, with dancers tapping, swaying and spinning through high-energy sets that’ll keep the good vibes flowing.

And while the kids are dancing, crafting or cooking up a storm, grown-ups can enjoy a little something too.
