Patagonia just opened its new Brisbane store in Fortitude Valley
Trailing close behind the opening of its Hobart store in late 2025, Patagonia has now opened the doors to its new Brisbane location. Located on Wandoo Street in Fortitude Valley, the store aims to be a hub for Queensland’s active outdoor community. The shelves are stocked with outdoor apparel designed for activities ranging from surfing and trail running to snow sports, climbing, and mountain biking. Patagonia Australia’s country director, Dane O’Shanassy, said the new store is about creating “spaces where people can come together around shared values for the outdoors and the planet,” further instilling the company’s commitment to the region and to protecting the places people love. The Patagonia Brisbane store is now open.

A women-led creative studio has opened in Bulimba
The terracotta walls on Karthina Street in Bulimba might look beautiful from the outside, but there’s more to this space than meets the eye. Step inside and you’ll find an inspiring, light-filled, editorial-style studio where creative projects can come to life. Established in late 2025 by all-female team Atelier Social Agency, Studio Atelier has quickly become a venue attracting photographers and boutique retailers looking for the perfect photoshoot location. The space features burnished concrete floors that contrast with the studio’s curated furniture pieces (yes aesthetic green couch, we see you!) alongside a selection of textured backdrops designed for the modern creator. Beyond photography and content creation, Studio Atelier is also available for workshops, product launches and community gatherings. Located just a 12-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD, the studio offers two allocated onsite car parks with ample street parking nearby. Whether you need a space for your next creative project, content shoot or private event, Studio Atelier is now open for bookings here

ALCOVE coworking space is set to arrive on Eagle Street this May
Gone are the days of dull and uninspiring office spaces, as a new benchmark for corporate coworking is set to arrive with ALCOVE at 70 Eagle Street. ALCOVE is the latest – and most premium – venture from YoCo Group (The Factory and Work X in Fortitude Valley, Mobo Co in South Brisbane and The Junction in Slacks Creek) and marks
the first corporate-led, design-focused coworking space in Brisbane’s inner-city. Repositioned by Sydney-based architect Seidler, the space spans three levels and features 72 private office suites, 48 dedicated desks and elevated meeting and collaboration spaces designed with a contemporary flair. YoCo founder Yusuf Oner identified a gap in the market, noting that businesses are increasingly seeking environments that “elevate how they meet, present and create.” ALCOVE delivers just that – a light-filled, thoughtfully designed workspace created to inspire and energise. ALCOVE is set to open in early May – stay tuned for more.

Function Well to open second location in West End
A premium wellness destination is making its way to West End, combining performance, restoration and lifestyle in one luxurious space. Guided by the philosophy of Yin and Yang, Function Well is more than a traditional gym, but a sanctuary for physical, mental and social wellness. The four-level, design-led wellness hub will feature world-class equipment, reformer Pilates machines, infrared saunas, magnesium recovery pools, a heated immersive yoga room, plus hot and cold plunge pools. Members can also take advantage of red-light therapy, massage, and functional training sessions and classes, before finding ultimate rejuvenation in the Recovery Cave or the Restoration Zone where traditional and advanced recovery methods are combined. Function Well is also a place for building social connections, with a cafe serving wellness-focused food and beverages alongside a dedicated business lounge where members can catch up on work. Function Well founder Darren Bain said the West End location will be the team’s most elevated offering to date. “We set about designing a premium, high-performance space that thoughtfully and seamlessly incorporates our four pillars – mindset, movement, nutrition and restoration – and offers our members everything they need to optimise their health and enhance their wellbeing.” With an established site in Newstead, this second Brisbane location is set to open in West Village by April 2026 with the waitlist to join now open.
