A luxury bathhouse will bring ritual and restoration to Fish Lane
Have you ever wished you could step out of time and into the European bathhouses of yore? No need to break out the time machine – The Bathhouse Group has just announced a new location in Fish Lane, where phones and alcohol are prohibited but luxury and relaxation are guaranteed. Here’s what we know …
The Bathhouse Group will be partnering with Aria Property Group (which manages the Fish Lane precinct) to add a fourth site to its collection, joining The Bathhouse Albion, The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown, and the recently announced Bathhouse Sydney. The latest installation will make its home in South Brisbane’s Fish Lane and feature all the brand’s signature elements – abundant silver travertine, hot and cold pools, scented steam rooms and more.
The new site has been architecturally designed by Brisbane-based Hogg & Lamb (the same team behind The Bathhouse Albion), creating a luxurious space akin to the European bathhouses of centuries foregone. A range of curated amenities will be at the disposal of guests, including the choice between the 38-degree heated pool, the 12-degree cold pool, and the 34-degree ambient pool. After being sufficiently submerged, the multiple traditional and infrared saunas, tiered scented steam room and spacious relaxation lounge, complete with a fireplace, offer areas to sit back and let the restoration begin.

The Bathhouse Group doesn’t do relaxation by halves. At the Fish Lane location, a phone and alcohol-free policy enables the authentic bathhouse experience. Elegant fragrances, meditative sounds and unlimited cotton towels mean you won’t be missing those modern creature comforts, though some will remain – Sans [ceuticals] hand, skin and haircare products, Dyson tools and premium TooGood teas will bring the best of modernity to one of history’s most cherished rituals.
Thoughtfully located in one of the city’s most vibrant cultural precincts and sitting adjacent the new Hotel Terminus, the Bathhouse Fish Lane will join the neighbourhood of La Lune Wine Co, Southside Restaurant, Marlowe, Julius and Pilgrim Yoga.
The Bathhouse Fish Lane, set to open in 2027, signals the next evolution of the precinct by complete its offering across dining, culture, movement and now luxury restoration.
