Palm Beach’s newest wellness destination is making it a little easier to carve out time for yourself. With hot and cold plunges, saunas, massage and a neighbourhood cafe, The Daily brings a fresh approach to wellbeing, with an emphasis on slowing down, connecting and making a little self-care part of the everyday.

Somewhere between the morning coffee run, the daily commute and the seemingly endless list of things that need doing, finding time to look after ourselves has become yet another task to squeeze into an already packed schedule. Palm Beach’s newest wellness arrival, The Daily is hoping to make that a little easier. A neighbourhood bathhouse where you can start your morning with a sauna and a dip, unwind after work or simply stop in for a coffee and a catch-up.

Located at 4 Sixth Avenue, The Daily is the creation of local couple Stephanie Mathers and Jim Royes, who have transformed the former Rigs Recovery premises into a warm, inviting space that feels a world away from the clinical recovery centres of old. Having spent six years working in the wellness industry with Rigs Recovery, Jim recognised the site’s potential and, together with Stephanie, embarked on a three-month renovation to bring their vision to life.

Warm terracotta tones, natural stone and timber lend the space an earthy feel, while soft lighting and the gentle scent of incense encourage visitors to slow down from the moment they arrive.

“We’re very much a social bathhouse,” Stephanie explains. “What we didn’t want to be was educational or clinical. We’re very laid-back. We wanted to create a space that was really pleasing for the senses, a place that you go to slow down.”

At the centre of the experience is the communal bathhouse, where guests have 60 minutes to move between the facilities at their own pace. There’s a hot pool sitting at around 39 degrees, a cold plunge at a chilly 11 degrees, a newly installed traditional rock sauna and a freshly renovated steam room. While the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet conversation is welcome, the emphasis remains on creating a calm, respectful environment for everyone.

For those who prefer a little privacy, two infrared saunas are available for individual bookings, with the option to bring a friend. Remedial massage is also joining the offering, with two experienced therapists set to begin treatments shortly.

The couple took a staged approach to opening, launching the adjoining cafe, The Daily Drop, three weeks before the bathhouse. Serving Miami’s That’s Whyld Coffee alongside a concise menu of jaffles, avocado toast with goat’s cheese and sweet treats including Milkman’s Cookies, it’s already finding its feet as a neighbourhood coffee stop.

The cafe is open to to the public, whether you’re fresh from a sauna or simply passing through for your morning coffee. For Stephanie and Jim, that accessibility is central to the concept. Rather than positioning wellness as an occasional indulgence, they want The Daily to become a familiar part of Palm Beach life, somewhere locals can drop into regularly, even if it’s just for a flat white.

For those keen to make it a habit, casual 60-minute bathhouse sessions are $40, with memberships starting at $49 per week for two visits. Private infrared sauna sessions and multi-visit packs are also available, while Saturday afternoons can be booked exclusively for private groups.

The Daily is now open. Head to The Directory for opening times.
