Critically ill teen among six in hospital after ingesting unknown substance

A 15-year-old boy is in a critical condition and another five teenagers are also in hospital after they ingested an unknown substance in north Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a home on Malcomson St, North Mackay, about 10.55am on Thursday.

Police say six teenagers – three boys and three girls – at the property needed medical treatment after ingesting a substance.

One boy, aged 15, is in a critical condition in hospital.
