Clear your calendars, foodies – Brisbane Powerhouse is set to transform into a twilight playground of flavour, art and music. Night Feast, presented by American Express, is back for its fourth season from Wednesday October 15 to Sunday November 9, serving up three delicious weeks of after-dark feasting. Think live DJ sets, giant art installations and 20 of Brisbane’s best restaurants (plus a few tasty newcomers) all in one riverside precinct. Here’s everything we know so far …
Night Feast isn’t just about eating out, it’s about eating differently. Each venue on the lineup has crafted an exclusive dish you won’t find anywhere else. We’re talking OTTO’s deep-fried lasagne bites, Lune’s lamington-croissant cube and Hoy Pinoy’s smoky Filipino lechon baka, to name just a few. Long-time faves like Southside, LouisB, Wonderbao, Gelato Messina, Donna Chang and Byblos are back, joined by exciting first-timers including OLÉ, Downtown Istanbul, Layla, Burn City Smokers and Nok Nok x Honey & Yolko. Even Lek Thai is spicing things up with its new Siam Smashhouse concept, while Sapporo Izakaya x Boom Boom Room are pairing lavish Japanese bites with frosty brews.
Of course, Night Feast is about more than what’s on your plate. This year, the precinct comes alive with bold art as the Melt Festival of Queer Arts and Culture collides with the foodie action. Wander through Leeroy New’s futuristic Tubignon installation, step inside Micah Rustichelli’s pulsing Demon Rhythm in the Fairfax Studio, or watch Luke George and Daniel Kok push boundaries with their daring rope performance Still Lives: Brisbane. Between bites and art, you can keep the good vibes going with QUIVR DJs spinning all night – or sneak away to the lush American Express Garden Lounge for a cocktail in style (AMEX members only).
Lizzie Loel, Night Feast’s food curator says the priority of this year’s event is to elevate the experience to a whole new level.
“Night Feast showcases the very best from our culinary artists. Every menu has been designed with passion and precision, and these festival-exclusive dishes make this year’s edition truly unforgettable.”
Night Feast isn’t just dinner – it’s a feast for all the senses.
This year’s Night Feast event has been produced by Brisbane Powerhouse and presented by American Express, with the support of Brisbane City Council, Sapporo, Optus, Ovolo Hotels, B105 and The Weekend Edition.
