Chirn Park favourite 5B2F Bakehouse opens a new ciabatta-slinging location in Southport

Since opening in Chirn Park back in 2016, popular patisserie 5B2F Bakehouse has garnered a hefty following of croissant-loving locals who can’t get enough of its buttery pastries, freshly baked sourdough and eye-popping cake cabinet. Late last year, owner and patissier Moonsun Yoo served up another slice of happiness – a much-anticipated second location on Southport’s Davenport Street.

The new grab-and-go Southport bakehouse, named 5B2F Ciabatta, has a slightly different lean to its Chirn Park counterpart. Here, freshly baked pillow-soft ciabatta bread is the humble hero – in the form of fresh sandwiches – alongside a delicious collection of 5B2F favourites like house-made pastries, colourful cakes, freshly made salads and savoury pies.

The daily ciabatta-based creations are simple and tasty, with combinations like the tasty Reuben sandwich with house-made corned beef, fresh chicken with brie and apple, and molten truffle-infused ham and cheese toasties. In the pastry cabinet, you’ll find everything from flaky almond croissants and perfectly caramelised kouign-amann to mini doughnuts and custard-filled fruit danishes. There’s also a selection of mini cakes to pair with your hit of Allpress Espresso, including delicious strawberry tarts, layered brownies topped with a quenelle of cream and the famed 5B2F Mont Blanc.

A limited number of whole cakes are available in the cabinet at 5B2F each day, like the delicious vanilla chiffon and fruit-topped baked cheesecakes adorned with fresh cream, which are perfect for those last-minute-birthday-cake needs. If you’re the organised type, you can also pre-order from 5B2F ‘s extensive range of celebration cakes.

5B2F Ciabatta is now open. Find opening hours and contact info over in The Directory.
