If the news of Bluesfest‘s last-minute cancellation put a dent in your Easter plans, The Farm Byron Bay has stepped up to host a special one-off event to curb your blues. On Sunday April 5, the regenerative working farm will throw its first ever Easter Show, merging classic Easter activities like egg hunts with a bit of farm chaos. Read on for more …
Ewingsdale’s rolling green hills and quiet seclusion will set the scene for The Farm’s Easter Show this April, giving you a chance to celebrate the day in quaint country-style. Set in the lush macadamia orchard, the farm’s first ever Easter Show will deliver a proper Aussie line up and the kind of farm action you don’t see everyday.
The day’s festivities will kick off at 9:30 am with a massive free egg hunt, one The Farm insists will be their biggest ever – and with lots of hiding spots on the property and plenty of eggs to go around, we’re not surprised. Once the last egg is found, the real show begins with a 60-minute live performance starting at 11:30 am to give visitors a taste of life on the farm. Expect skilled stock horses, energetic working dogs, whip-cracking, fire trick ponies, western dressage performances by Equi Kids and a few surprise moments to keep guests on their toes.
The day will also feature flame-cooked food from Three Blue Ducks, live music, animal feeding, pony rides and plenty of space for the kids to run wild and wander. The event is wheelchair accessible, offers free entry for kids under three and welcomes leashed dogs for a relaxed, family-friendly way to spend your Easter Sunday.
Tickets are live now, and with the orchard’s limited capacity, this is one you’ll want to book ahead of time.
